Professional Development for Teachers and AETs

In Summer 2015, we introduced the Cambridge English Global Standard 'Teaching Knowledge Test' or 'TKT' to Hokkaido. TKT provides experienced English Teachers in Japan with an exciting opportunity for further Professional Development.

TKT 1

TKT is recognised by the Ministry of Education (MEXT) and has recently been accepted in place of some aspects of Japanese Initial Teacher Training for English Teachers by Tokyo Metropolitan Government.

Native speaker AETs considering an EFL career will be able to cover much of the theory and background necessary for a valuable B or A Grade pass on Cambridge English CELTA by preparing for TKT.
